That is deliberate. We verify who you are before anything sensitive is exchanged, so there is no self-service registration — and there is no form on the login screen that would let you create one.
Call or email us and we will send your invitation, usually the same working day. Setting the account up takes a couple of minutes once the invitation arrives.

What the portal is for
- Sending us anything with a Social Security number on it
- Signing the e-file authorisation without printing or scanning
- Getting your completed return and prior years back
- Keeping the exchange off email, which is not encrypted end to end
You do not need an account to work with us
Plenty of clients simply email what they have and we handle it from there. The portal is the better route for anything sensitive, but it has never been a requirement.
Trouble signing in?
Password resets are handled on the portal’s own sign-in screen. If that does not work, call +1 949 431 2999 or email tax@universaltaxfiler.com and we will sort it out rather than leaving you to fight the form.
